Ban Appealing Guidelines - Read First

These are guidelines and notes - not rules - that are subject to change at the discretion of the Heaven's Gate Staff.

• If you are commenting on someone else's ban, we expect the information to be relevant, otherwise your post may be deleted. Repeat offenders may be banned from the forums.
  
• There is no format for our appeals. We expect you to post as much relevant information as possible. We will always consult the staff member that handled your ban before any decision to modify or remove your ban is made, withholding information will not play into your favor.
  
• How we handle your ban and/or appeal will vary from staff member to staff member. Not every case will be handled the same, either. Reputation will always be a factor in our decisions. We are people, not machines.
  
• If your ban appeal is a troll post, you can and probably will be permanently banned from our forums and our server without additional warning. If you cannot take the time to post something appealing, then do not post at all. You're better off waiting for your ban to end.
  
• Not everyone in our select group of volunteers has the time of day to reason with the unreasonable, either. Your post may be locked and/or edited for the removal of distasteful content. Excessive and pointless posting may be deleted. Your ban may even be lengthened if your conduct is less than tasteful.
  
• Try to have a good time on our server and abide by our rules, mistakes will be made. We'll forgive you - try to forgive us.
